Who Qualifies for a VA Loan?

According to the Department of Veteran Affairs’ eligibility guidelines, active duty service and veterans members must meet the minimum active duty service requirement. These requirements vary depending on when you served.

The Department of Veteran Affairs states that if you don’t meet the service requirements, you may still be eligible for a VA home loan in Virginia if you were discharged for any number of reasons, from hardship to a service-related disability.
